Messaging automation by market

Slide, by Synquic, is a cloud product: a business in any country can sign up and automate WhatsApp, Instagram and email from one workspace. The pages below cover the markets where the answer changes, such as the WhatsApp price per message, whether business calling works, which consent law applies and which languages templates can use. Slide bills workspaces created with an Indian number in rupees and all others in US dollars, and it does not claim a local office in any of these markets.

Facts on this page were last reviewed on 11 October 2026. See the key facts and sources.

Who it is for

The buyer and the problem

Businesses checking whether Slide works where their customers are, and teams that message customers in more than one country from one account.

The product works the same everywhere, but the answers around it do not. What a WhatsApp message costs depends on the customer's country, business calling is unavailable from some countries, consent rules for marketing differ by law, and the template languages a market needs may or may not be in the editor. A rollout plan needs those answers per market before the first message goes out.

Locations

What changes from one market to another

The WhatsApp price line. Meta charges per delivered template message at a rate set by the recipient's country calling code, so what matters is where your customers' numbers are, not where your company is registered. India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, Nigeria and South Africa each have a line of their own; Kenya shares Rest of Africa, and Canada shares North America with the United States. Since 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for service replies once a business number has sent 1,000 of them in a month.

Business calling. Slide includes WhatsApp business calling, but Meta does not let Nigerian or Canadian business numbers place calls (customers can still call the business), while Kenyan and South African numbers are not on that list. In the UAE, TDRA allows VoIP calling only through licensed or approved services, and whether WhatsApp business calls reach UAE consumers has not been verified, so these pages do not promise calling there. Calling behaviour in Saudi Arabia and Qatar has not been verified either.

Consent law. Meta requires opt-in before a business messages someone first, in every country. Local law adds its own layer, and several laws set rules for marketing messages directly: Article 22 of Qatar's PDPPL, the Do Not Call rules that cover WhatsApp marketing to Singapore numbers, Nigeria's GAID 2025, Kenya's 2021 Regulations, section 69 of South Africa's POPIA and Canada's CASL. India's DLT registration, by contrast, covers SMS and voice rather than WhatsApp.

Languages. Free-form replies inside the 24-hour window can be in any language. Templates, which you need after the window, are written in one of the 25 languages in Slide's editor: Arabic, French, Malay, Chinese (Simplified) and eight Indian languages including Hindi and Tamil are in it, while Swahili, Afrikaans, isiZulu, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Urdu and Punjabi are not. The dashboard is in English only, and an AI agent replies in another language only when its instructions say so.

Billing currency. A workspace is billed in Indian rupees when it is created with an Indian phone number and in US dollars otherwise; there is no AED, SAR, SGD, NGN, KES, ZAR or CAD billing. Meta publishes some WhatsApp rate cards in local currencies, such as AED, SAR and SGD, but that does not change the currency Slide bills in. Outside India, confirm the payment method with the Slide team before you subscribe.

How we decide which pages exist

A market gets its own page only when something verified changes the answer there: a separate Meta price line, a calling restriction, a consent law that names the channel, or a gap in template languages. Where nothing changes, the question is answered on a parent page, so you do not read the same page twice with a different place name.

That is why the pages are uneven by design. Dubai numbers are +971 and priced on the UAE line, and federal UAE law applies there, so WhatsApp in Dubai is covered on WhatsApp automation in the UAE, while the Dubai page covers the one Dubai-specific point, the DIFC data protection law. Instagram follows the same Meta rules everywhere, so it has only two market pages. South Africa and Canada have their own Instagram page: South Africa's Information Regulator lists Instagram DMs as electronic direct marketing, and Canada's CASL counts instant messaging accounts as electronic addresses. Qatar's guideline also names social media; the Qatar location page covers it.

Email has its own pages for Singapore, Kenya, South Africa and Canada, where a law sets specific rules for marketing email. For the other markets listed here, the email answer sits on the location page. Saudi Arabia has no email page yet because its email-marketing rules have not been verified on this site.

MENA is a region, not a country, and the MENA page explains what changes across it. Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa sit under Sub-Saharan Africa, not MENA. A market without a page can still use Slide: Meta's rules apply as they do everywhere, the WhatsApp Business Platform is unavailable only in a short list of sanctioned places (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and three regions of Ukraine), and your own local law applies on top.

Evidence

What these claims rest on

  • WhatsApp Business Platform charges per delivered template message, by category and recipient country

Per-message pricing replaced conversation pricing on 1 July 2025. Marketing, utility and authentication templates are charged at a rate set by the recipient's country calling code.

  • Workspaces are billed in INR when the sign-up number is Indian and in USD otherwise

Each workspace is set to INR or USD at creation, from the sign-up phone's country code. No other billing currency exists.

  • Business-initiated WhatsApp calls are unavailable for business numbers in some countries

Meta lists countries where a business number cannot place calls: Nigerian, Egyptian, Canadian and US business numbers are on it; Kenyan and South African numbers are not. Customers can still call the business where the Cloud API is available. Calling needs a messaging limit of at least 2,000.

  • There is no single official MENA list; the World Bank groups 23 economies in its Middle East and North Africa region

The World Bank region includes the Gulf states, the Levant and North Africa (and Afghanistan and Pakistan). Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa are classed as Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Meta restricts the WhatsApp Business Platform only in a short list of sanctioned places

The restricted list is Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and three regions of Ukraine. None of the markets on this site is on it.

Pricing

How the cost is made up

In every market the cost has two parts. The Slide plan is billed in Indian rupees for a workspace created with an Indian number and in US dollars for every other workspace; plans and current prices are on the pricing page, and paid plans start with a 14-day trial. Outside India, confirm the payment method with the Slide team before you subscribe.

Channel usage is separate. WhatsApp messages are charged per message by Meta, at the rate for the recipient's country and the message category, and drawn from Slide's prepaid wallet, where the exact price for your account is shown; since 1 October 2026 that includes service replies after the first 1,000 each month per business number. Email sends use the email credits that come with the plan.

Questions

Direct answers

Can a business outside India use Slide?

Yes. Sign-up accepts a phone number from any country, and there is no list of blocked countries. A workspace created with a number outside India is billed in US dollars, and you should confirm the payment method with the Slide team before you subscribe. What changes by country is the cost of WhatsApp messages, the local consent rules and the template languages your customers need, which is what the market pages cover.

Which currency will we pay in?

Indian rupees if the workspace is created with an Indian phone number, US dollars for every other workspace. The currency is set when the workspace is created and no other currency is offered, so a business in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Singapore pays in dollars even though Meta publishes rate cards in AED, SAR and SGD. WhatsApp usage is a separate charge drawn from Slide's prepaid wallet, apart from the plan.

Does Slide have offices or local teams in these markets?

No local office is claimed in any market on these pages. Synquic, the company behind Slide, was founded in India, and sales and support are handled by email (sales@synquic.com) and a 30-minute demo call you can book. Plans include email support, and the top tiers add a dedicated account manager. Support hours and support languages are not published, so ask about them before you sign if they matter to you.

Why does our country not have its own page?

Pages exist only where a verified fact changes the answer, such as a separate WhatsApp price line, a calling restriction or a consent law that names the channel. If your country is not listed, Slide still works there unless the WhatsApp Business Platform is restricted (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and three regions of Ukraine). Meta's rules apply as everywhere: opt-in before you message someone first, approved templates outside the 24-hour window, and every opt-out honoured.

Is a WhatsApp message priced the same in every country?

No. Meta charges per message according to the category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the recipient's country, and countries are grouped into price lines: some have a line of their own, others share a regional one. Since 1 October 2026 service replies are charged as well, after the first 1,000 each month per business number. Slide draws these charges from the wallet and shows the exact per-message price for your account there.

Which languages can our messages use?

Anything your team or customers type inside the 24-hour window can be in any language. Templates for messages after the window are limited to the 25 languages in Slide's editor, which include Arabic, French, Malay, Chinese (Simplified), Hindi and other Indian languages, but not Swahili, Afrikaans, isiZulu, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Urdu or Punjabi. An AI agent answers in a given language only if its instructions say so, and the Slide dashboard itself is in English.

Will using Slide make our messaging meet local data protection law?

No tool can do that on its own, and Slide does not certify that any business's messaging meets local law. What Slide provides are the mechanics: WhatsApp opt-out keywords that block a contact on every channel (the list starts empty, so you add the words), unsubscribe and suppression in email campaigns and sequences, and contact fields where you can record where consent came from. Synquic states that its SOC 2 Type II audit and ISO/IEC 27001 certification are in progress, and you should ask the Slide team where your data is hosted before you sign.

Key facts

Key facts

Start with the page for the country your customers' phone numbers are in, because that sets the WhatsApp price and often the consent rule that applies. Slide fits a business that wants WhatsApp, Instagram and email on one contact record and one inbox, whether it sells in one market or several. It is a weaker fit if you need billing in a currency other than rupees or dollars, a dashboard in a language other than English, templates in a language outside the editor's list, or a local office to visit.
