Install the Slide app, turn on the storefront embed, and trigger automations from store events.
The Slide app connects your Shopify store so order, customer and checkout events can trigger messages, and so storefront popups and alerts can capture contacts.
- 1Install Slide from the Shopify App Store. Installation always starts from Shopify.
- 2Approve the permissions Shopify shows you.
- 3You land on the Slide app inside your Shopify admin.
- 4Select Link your Slide account to connect the store to your Slide organisation. Your store is identified automatically, you never type your store address.
The storefront embed powers popups, back in stock alerts, price drop alerts and abandoned cart tracking. It is off until you enable it, and nothing appears on your storefront before you do.
- 1In the Slide app inside Shopify admin, select Open theme editor. Your theme opens with the Slide app embed selected.
- 2In the right hand panel, switch Slide Storefront to on.
- 3Select Save in the theme editor.
- 4Return to the Slide app. Popups and storefront tracking are now live.
Slide uses a theme app embed rather than editing your theme code. Nothing is written into your theme files, and removing the app removes the embed cleanly.

If you installed Slide from the Shopify App Store, everything is billed through Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice. Wallet top ups and card payments on the Slide website are disabled for that store so you are never charged twice. Manage your plan from the Slide app inside Shopify admin.
Removing the app from Shopify stops all event delivery immediately and removes the storefront embed. Your contacts and history stay in Slide.
